Sales Associate Pre-license Application Requirements (Florida & Non-Florida Resident)

 

AGE: Must be at least 18 years of age.
 

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER: You must have a United States Social Security number to apply.
 

EDUCATION: Must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
 

PRE-LICENSE EDUCATION: Must complete and pass a Florida Real Estate Commission approved 63-hour Sales Associate pre-license course.
 

FINGERPRINTS: An applicant must have a background check as part of the licensing process. 

 

 

ACRE INSTITUTE REGISTRATION POLICIES

 

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE POLICIES THAT WILL BE IN RULE THROUGHOUT ACRE INSTITUTE COURSE TO OBTAIN THE REAL ESTATE SALES ASSOCIATE:

 

The course is given in Spanish, and the terms are also given in English, the Power Point presentation (slides) is in Spanish; the textbook requirement is in English, there is additional material in Spanish (this has an additional cost).

 

The institute’s final exam can be submitted in Spanish and/or English.

The student cannot miss more than 8 hours of instruction, if he/she loses more than 8 hours of instruction he/she will not be able to certify his/her course and there will be no refund.

 

The preparation course is reimbursable from the date of enrollment or until the first day of class, less a cancellation fee of $60.00.

 

If the student wants to change to a different date course for which they enrolled, they must pay a transfer fee of $30.00.

 

Final examination:

An exam copy is delivered in Spanish and English, the answers are the same in both languages, its duration is 3 hours, which consists of 100 multiple-choice questions: each question has a one-point value: 45 questions of principles and practices, 45 questions of real estate law and 10 questions of mathematics; A minimum score of 70 points is required for the exam to pass.

 

DATES TO CONSIDER:

 

 

Examination date of institute: 7 days after course finishes, duration of 3 hours, the student will be able to submit his/her final exam until this date, the student has from the final date of the course until 7 days after course finishes to submit his/her final exam.

 

 

In case of retaking the final exam, you must wait 30 days from the exam date, you will have up to one year to retake the exam.

 

As of the date of approval of the final exam you will have up to 2 years to pass your state of Florida exam.

 

 

Deposits:

Partial deposits will be honored for 6 months from the payment date as a credit to take a course.

 

No refund will be considered for students who have registered and taken the class in full and/or have continued taking the course from the second class onwards.

 

There is no refund for online courses.

No returns or refunds on books

 

Offers, coupons, discounts, etc.: Any student who, upon registering, presents a reference card or a discount coupon, must be pre-registered and paid in full before the start of classes to receive the discount. The card must be presented during the initial registration. No retroactive discounts.

All classes can be monitored or recorded on video by Acre Institute for quality purposes; students are not allowed to record, or video record any classes, material, etc., since these have copy rights. 

 

It is not allowed to eat in the classroom.

 

COSTS:

 The course has a cost of $400.00, this price includes 60 hours of instruction and final exam of 3 hours.

 

The textbook requirement has a cost of $65.00 plus taxes, the book is in English.

 

We have additional aid material in Spanish, this carries an additional cost.

The day after completing the course there is an optional review for the final exam, this has a value of $60.00.

 

The examination retake cost $100.00 and is by appointment.

 

If you need to retake the course, a special discount will be applied.

 

The results of the exam will be sent via email within 3 business days of taking the exam, if the student wants to obtain their results before this, he/she can obtain it with a payment of $5.00.

 

If the student wants an exam revision this cost $25.00.

 

Course cancellation fee: $60.00

Cost for course date change (second time): $30.00.

 

License application fees with the DBPR (Department of Business and Professional Regulation), state examination and fingerprinting are incurred by the student.

 

In case of bad weather, it is ACRE INSTITUTE job to monitor the storms and make decisions about class cancellations, given case a class should be canceled, the necessary efforts will be made to reprogram classes quickly as well as time and space in classroom will allow it. However, it is not always possible to schedule the classes in the same days and hours in which they were planned, so we will keep in constant contact informing of possible changes that may occur due to a cancellation of classes due to force majeure.

 

If a check is returned without funds, a fine of $30.00 will be charged for each check returned. The student is responsible for all payments, regardless of who paid the course.

 

According to the rules issued by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC), students who fail a class test must wait at least 30 days before retaking the test. If a student wants to submit the test within 30 days, he or she must repeat the entire course before being eligible to retake the test. If a student does not pass the test taken for a second time, he or she must repeat the entire course to retake the test. Students who retake will have priority over students who review if classes are full.

Teachers have the authority to dismiss any student whom the teacher considers to be disruptive and whose conduct may be detrimental to other students at any time without the right to reimbursement.

Acre Institute cannot guarantee the course approval, this corresponds to the student and his/her abilities, commitment to study, internalization and material understanding is something that all students must do.

Acre Institute is duly certified and operates in accordance with DBPR (Department of Business and Professional Regulation), and FREC (Florida Real Estate Commission) regulations.
